Since I can’t post a picture of Lanie yet, I thought I’d help you envision her. She is a Hispanic Shurley Temple. Just as fun, bubbly, and feisty as Shurley and she looks like her too. You know that look Shurley Temople has where she squints her eyes, puckers her lips like a fish and shakes her head showing she doesn’t agree with something and then smiles? Lanie has he same look. This picture isn’t quite right, but it’s similar to that look. Lanie has black ringlets in her hair as well. Maybe she should have named her Shurley!
TODAY
We headed downtown again and shopped at the local artistry booths where we bought some Colombian items. I’m sure we’ll be back for more. We managed to make it thorough the morning well. Nap time was a beast, but I guess that is better! Our friends here came over for dinner and to play tonight. Stephanie and I cooked our usual gourmet meal of hotdogs and chips. We didn’t blow anything up this time so that is progress.
MY SISTER ARRIVES TOMORROW!
Alli and I are VERY excited to see my sister tomorrow.
We have the week all planned out with lots of fun! Of course here in Colombia we’ve learned that all plans are up for considerable revision at any moment. Life and culture are just different here plus progress on the adoption could occur at any time so we just makes plans and go with the flow when they change.
Here is one of my prayers: I’m really asking for lots of miracles, but God is a BIG God and has already answered a lot of prayers so Ill keep asking! I want to leave for Manizales when my sister and Alli do this Thurs. that means lots of things would have to happen this next week. It’s kinda of a long shot, but I’m asking God for it while being content with whatever he desires. After I go to Bogota it will be about a week before we can come home as there are many logistics to do in Bogota.
P.s.. Thank you to all of the messages, cards that we open every other day here from some of all and prayers…. We feel very loved and they are all VERY appreciated!
