Day 6 –

It’s day 6 And we have a long ways to go. Today was good. We hung at apartment a lot playing games, the girls did our hair we did laundry etc. and then did our usual supermarket run and ventured to a new shopping area to get some clothes that would fit Lanie. The clothes we brought are all too big. She’s tiny!

Overall things are plotting along well. However, Lanie is having a hard time going to sleep at night. We are working on that. It seems to get worse every night. She’s also beginning to show her stubborn streak a but more. please pray that we have wisdom in guiding her heart through this as well as grace and patience. It’s not too bad now, but experience tells me we need to handle it well now so it won’t escalate. Lanie has a wonderful cheerful personality and loves to be independent, but she does have a stubborn streak. Alli tells me I’m a lot like her. I’m sure she wasn’t talking about the stubborn part though!  :-). Maybe she was…

Thanks oodles for your prayers and support. It’s made this whole deal a lot easier.

We hope to hear that our integration meeting is Wednesday. Please also pray that our integration time won’t get extended. The lady in charge REALLY insists on us speaking lots of Spanish. We are managing, but not as fluent as she’d like. We’ve been told most adoptive parents aren’t fluent, but she is very firm about it. Please pray for the Spanish words to say.

Buenos Noches!
