We visited a coffee farm today and took a tour of how the process works. WOW! There is a lot of work that goes into growing and harvesting the coffee bean. Coffee grows well here due to the climate and elevation. This also means it grows on the side of mountains resulting in all harvesting being done by hand. The only equipment used in the process is to clean, shell and dry the beans once they are harvested. They also grow lots of fruit trees here which are absolutely delicious!!!!! The fruit trees being grown close to the coffee gives the coffee a fruit flavor. Types of coffee and the production process is similiar to that of wine. Different regions and growth processes produce different types. It was all VERY interesting! We also enoyed a fabulous lunch full of incredible fruits, chicken, rice and a fruit marmelade of dessert. We were full for a while after that although we had worked up an appetite walking through the mountains on the tour.
Other than one episode, Lanie had a good day. Alli is doing well also.
THE BOYS:
We are still looking for a family for the two 9 and 10 yr. old boys that I posted about yesterday. My agency and Stephanie’s agency are also commited to doing whatever they can to place these kids in a great home. My agency has said if finances are a struggle, they will help figure out how to make it work. They have some fundraising options. We all just want to see these boys find a forever family.
