I was soooo excited to get up this morning and make a to-do list. I haven’t done that in over a month! After our regular routinue this morning, I began organizing stuff, doing laundry and getting ready to leave. Lanie was excited to hear that in two days we are getting on an airplane just like Daddy, Alli and Aunt Emmy did. Therefore she did great helping me today. After a full day of prepping to leave, our host Ivan came over and brought a friend of his from the US. It was a treat to sit and hear his stories of international travel, teaching English and much more in extremely fluent English! My new friend, Stephanie said when she got back to the US, one of the wonderful things she enjoyed was fluent English conversations where your brain wasn’t hurting afterwards from trying to understand and communicate back. That’s how I felt tonight. Plus he was talking about better ways to teach students which is of course great conversation for me.
Tomorrow morning is the BIG day! We will go to court to officially adopt Lanie. My representative said to be ready for a very full and busy day trying to get all of the documents so we can leave for Bogota Friday! Sounds great to me! I’m ready to go!
