Today was a much needed rest day. We unpacked, slept some and then went exploring. We wish we knew more Spanish!!! There is a mall close by and lots of restaurants. Sometimes we did ok with the language and other times we just stared blankly at people. We’ll get better. I even finished defensive driving! I think most of the delivers here need to take it. Pedestrians do NOT have rather right away. I almost got run over today by a bus. Crazy place to walk. This evening our host brought us to the Chipre which is a beautiful lookout point over the coffee region. We also ate Colombian empanadas, drank Colombian Cola and listened to Latino music. The Empanadas were pretty good. even Alli liked them.
Tomorrow is the BIG day. We will meet Lanie. We can’t wait to have her join our family. We are a bit nervous. Pray for our meeting and our Spanish. We’ll have an interpreter but we want to speak to her some in Spanish to hello her feel comfortable.
