Today my friend Stephanie’s translator took us to Chipree for the afternoon. Stephanie asked her to check on us since she and my family were leaving. Chipree is where you can look down into the valley and up to e mountains. It’s gorgeous. We were there last night to see the city lights at night which was also wonderful. On Sunday afternoons the place comes alive with street vendors, bounce houses, games and shows for kids and more. Lanie had a fabulous time playing games with other kids and much more.
This evening we met our new neighbors. Our hosts own the apartment below us as well. A Colombian family from another area will be here for about 10 days adopting a baby. The husband speaks some English and wants to practice with me! Whoo Hoo! They seem very nice.
The day ended getting to Skype with our small group of friends who were all meeting at our house tonight. It was fun to see them all. They are wonderful.
Tomorrow I’m buying red shoes, tapping my heels together and saying ” I want to go home.” I doubt it will work so I’ll just keep making the most of it here. Jim Elliot once said “Live too the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God. “. I am certain this is his will so Ill keep learning and growing in it.
