Lanie is a great little helper who loves to do things all by herself. She pushing in her bed like she does every morning after making it.

Today was as close as I could get to pretending I was In Texas. Late mornjng we headed for the nice mall here, the Fondadoras. Inside you would think you were in the US. We shopped around a while and then ate at the Tex Mex place in the food court. I can’t really say it tasted great, but it was Tex Mex. The Queso would get a 0 rating, but it was queso. Lanie played in the play area, We bought more toys for here since I’m running out of things for her to do.

Lanie has truly done fairly well over the last few days. Of course she tests the boundaries often, but thats to be expected. Overall she’s a fun sweetheart. She continues to want me next to her at all times.  This definutely makes life challenging. Only  three or four more weeks… It seems like an eternity.  I’m sure i’ll look back at it later and it will seem like a little blip in time.

Each day seems to get harder being away. I know I have much to be thankful for so I will praise God for his abundance of blessings.

What I’m Thankful For

1. My wonderful family, Scott, Alli, Mom, our parents and siblings who love on me in so many ways that I can’t begin to list them all. They are incredible.

2. Incredible friends that love on us by taking care of our dog, organizing toys in the playroom, tasking care of Alli, sending encouraging notes and mostly for praying for us.

3. My new daughter Lanie who is full of smiles and energy.  i love her abundance of affection. She is a great addition to our family.

4. Skype – Seriously… How did people do this long distance all alone thing without Skype? I am so spoiled!

5. Great host family who takes us places and comes to visit us almost every day. I have enjoyed getting to know them all.

6. Juan Carlos, the apartment doorman, who always has a smile and a helping hand. Lanie loves him.

7. Lately the severe challenges with Lanie have decreased and I’m really enjoying her more.

8. ultimately the Lord has provided so much.

My list could be pages longer with much greater detail. God is a good God.

Thank you Lord for this opportunity to expand our family, love on one of your children and grow personally.
