At home

Our first day home was great.  We brought the Colomiban weather with us!  It was rainy and 75 degrees in Texas in July!  Whoo Hoo!

So much for my idea of slowly integrating her to people.  We had people everywhere all day.  Grandparents, Aunt, Uncle, cousins, neighbors, church friends.  It was really a great day.  The kids (that includes Scott of course) played in the rain, had water gun fights and much more.

Here is the BEST news yet… I went to put Lanie down to sleep on the floor in our room last night and she looked sad.  She grabbed my hand and drug me to her room – to her bed and said she wanted to sleep there.  She slept there all night and is still asleep at 9am this morning!  WHOO HOO!  Mommy is doing the happy dance!  I’m free!  I’ve broken out of my prison!  God orchestrated every detail of these past 7 weeks.  Our two weeks alone in Manizales were strategic to help Lanie feel secure and trust me.  Now she can sleep alone.  God is good!

I’ll post more pictures and a new post on some of my thoughts looking back by Thursday of this week.
