Thursday was my last day to teach an incredible group of 2nd and 3rd graders. The school year has come to an end. It was bitter sweet. The sweetness is that I don’t have to write lesson plans, grade papers and I have the load of responsibilities off of me! I need to be able to focus on this next season of life so this is very good. The bitterness is that God gave me an incredible group of kids, parents and co-workers to work with. They were fun, quirky (maybe I just made them quirky), soaked up learning, and had tender and loving hearts. Each student has a great family that I had had the joy of working with and getting to know as well. In addition, I’ve had the privilege of teaching my daughter Alli this year. She has grown so much this year. Now, my classroom is packed up, my grades are done and I’m moving on, but I hope to stay apart of this school and these families lives in the future as God desires.
